Gluten Free... Celiac Disease or Gluten Sensitive?

For many people, indulging in a doughy bagel, tangy sourdough bread, or even an airy roll can have very unpleasant consequences, even if they don’t have celiac disease. Wheat and other gluten-containing foods can cause some people to experience symptoms ranging from digestive distress, including abdominal pain and bloating, to even psychological upset, like a depressed mood. Fatigue is another common side effect. Although many people are familiar with celiac disease, when it comes to gluten sensitivity, there has been a lot of confusion and misinformation in the media and even in the medical community regarding whether it is a real condition. While celiac disease is a very serious form of gluten intolerance, many other people clearly seem to demonstrate undesirable symptoms after eating gluten that suggest that there are other conditions that are triggered by gluten as well.
